New Idea

It comes to my attention, about things we see day to day.
There're some bad things we got to deal with. They don't seem to go away.
We need an effort to right the wrongs, or else we're going to pay.

Trapped

There's this guy I know, who works real hard for what he's got.
And from the outside it looks as though he's got a lot.
He's got a house in the city, with two cars in the garage.
Everything looks so good on that corner lot.

Well, he works hard everyday,
Most times the evening time too.
Doesn't have time to enjoy all the things he's got,
With all the things he's got to do.

He feels trapped, in his job.
He feels trapped, in his way of life.
That's what he feels.

Working everyday takes its toll on your mind, with nothing to look forward to, what can you do.
Well, he longs for the day, when he doesn't have to worry about his pay,
But right now that time seems a lifetime away.

'Cause he's working everyday,
Trying to bring home some pay.
Living way above his means.
It's the only way.

Someday comes he'll take the time,
To sit around the house and enjoy his life.
But Monday comes too soon.

He feels trapped, in his job.
He feels trapped, in his way of life.
That's what he feels.

He needs to know that it won't always be this way.
And when he gets old that he'll live on and have a place to stay.
But right now can't seem to find that light at the end of the road.
He's all bogged down with such a heavy load.

'Cause he's working everyday,
Most times the evening time too.

No where to go. It's a drag just getting around.

In the spring time the flowers coming into the scene,
The buds on the trees the grass getting real green.

The winter time is cold and the snow hurts your face,
And the ice slips under your feet, don't you know.

Morning is ending. Night time is turning into day.
I'm thinking about you girl, but you're so far away.
